Before Contacting Us, Please Read the Following:
EZ-POUR® spouts fit almost all Rubbermaid, Gott, Essence, Wedco, Briggs, Scepter, Eagle, and Blitz, both old and new. Please be informed that we do not know or keep a record of all the model numbers of the various can manufacturers, and therefore cannot answer questions about specific cans.
We do not promote using our spout to bypass the EPA emission standards on the new cans. If you purchase a spout and it does not fit, you can return it for a complete refund.
Do you have an old Wedco or late model Briggs and Stratton cans that our yellow base cap fits too tightly? If so, CLICK HERE to get free replacement caps.
What type of fuel cans may I use this product on?
Only for use on portable fuel containers manufactured prior to January 1, 2009.
What are the two different color base caps for?
The black base cap has fine threads and generally fits the old Rubbermaid, Blitz, Briggs and Stratton, Essence and Gott cans, the yellow base cap has coarse threads and fits the Midwest, Scepter and Plastic Eagle. The yellow base cap also fits all EZ-POUR® adapters. The gray base cap, which may be ordered here, fits the older Wedco, and new Briggs and Stratton.
Are there any cans that EZ-POUR® spouts do not fit?
Yes, the old Chilton cans with an extended neck and a black spout, Orange Gott cans, and some metal gas cans with a 2” opening.
The new base cap fits too tight what do I do?
Try using the new spout and your old base cap. There were many molds over the years and the tolerances varied greatly.
How flexible are the spouts?
The spouts are made of HDPE plastic and not rubber, they are flexible, however bending them in the cold, or severe bends may cause cracking. Use care when pouring to avoid spills.
If I want to install a new vent, what do I use?
Use a tapered reamer, step drill, or 1/2″ wood paddle bit. Do not use a twist drill bit, as it will make an irregular hole.
Which base cap fits the Chilton Adapter?
The yellow base cap with the spout and the yellow block off cap work with the Chilton Adapter.
Which base cap fits the Jerry Can Adapter?
The yellow base cap with the spout and the yellow block off cap work with the Jerry Can Adapter.
