For gas cans that need a fine thread cap, such as Blitz (gas, kerosene, and diesel), Briggs & Stratton (early models), Essence, Gott, and Rubbermaid gas cans, our black base caps are the perfect fit. COURSE THREAD GAS CANS
For gas cans that need a course thread cap, our yellow base caps will be your best bet! Use the yellow base cap for Blitz, Briggs & Stratton (later models), Eagle, Igloo, Midwest Can (gas, water, diesel), and Scepter gas cans. They are also compatible with our Chilton, Jerry Can, 63mm “F” Style, and Racing Jug adapters. By not needing a different base cap for each adapter, you save time and money! Just like the black variety, these are included in every spout kit purchased. When it’s time to store your gas can, our solid yellow base cap will keep your gas can closed.
WEDCO THREAD GAS CANS
If you find that our yellow and black base caps are not properly fitting your can, you may need our grey base cap. These base caps are available to order separately on our website! They also have a coarse thread but are more suitable for other gas can styles. Use these for Briggs & Stratton (later models), Midwest Can (metal jerry can), Stancan, Tee Pee, and Wedco gas cans.
